Services: Funeral services for Bob will be held Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Rockford United Methodist Church 159 Maple St., Rockford with Rev. Dick Riley officiating. Interment in Courtland Cemetery.

Visitation: Friends may meet the family on Tuesday from 7-9 and Wednesday 1-3 and 7-9 at Pederson Funeral Home

Robert “Bob” Shoemaker aged 29 of Rockford passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013. Bob was born February 28, 1984, graduated in 2002 from Rockford High School and attended college in Grand Rapids. His passions were his faith, his family, and SCUBA Diving. He was also an avid outdoorsman, and a generous person who made time for everyone, including volunteering with the church’s outreach program. He gave and gave and would give you the shirt off his back. He was also known for his sense of humor. Surviving are his fiance’ Jen Gemski; his parents Beth and Steve Worden, Robert and Geri Shoemaker; a sister, Lyndsey Shoemaker; brothers Jacob Worden and Cameron Shoemaker; stepsisters Anna (Jay) Olin, Amanda Johnson and Stephanie Rake; his grandparents Harold and Donna Bailey, Bill and Beverly Worden, Ron and Bonnie Shoemaker; nieces, Meckenzie and Neveah Olin.

Memorials: Those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Rockford United Methodist Outreach Program.
